German Cockroaches can be brought into the home from grocery stores, garage sales, picking up things off of the side of the road, shipping boxes or other people visiting that have them in their home.

When treating for fleas you should treat all of the areas that your pet(s) hang out at.

The yard, the house and the pet should all be treated at the same time so that you get rid of all of the areas that the fleas can live.

The little flying insects in the kitchen could be either fruit flies or phorid flies.

They like to live and breed in organic debris.  They come in on fruit and vegetables and then breed in buildup in drains, garbage cans, litter boxes, soda and beer cans and any other areas where they can find organic debris to lay eggs in.

Cleaning the drains with a microbe foam is very easy and then making sure that there isn't any other areas for them to breed in, should take care of them in a short period of time.
